Barbara L. Wood Obituary
Barbara L. Wood, 89, of Vancouver, WA passed into God’s loving arms Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Born in Rome, GA, Barbara lived her life as a Marine Corp spouse, a school teacher, an animal lover and an avid Ohio State football fan. Her life centered on her love of family and friends, her church, and her faithful cat, Chow Ling.

As a long time resident of Dayton, Ohio, Barbara enjoyed a life well lived. After teaching elementary school for 18 years she retired to enjoy boating, jet skiing, snowmobiling, showing custom hot rods and racing Legend cars with her husband of 66 years, Richard.

Upon the death of Richard, Barbara moved to Vancouver, WA to be close to her daughter. She was an active member of the Church of The Good Shepherd and enjoyed time with her family and friends experiencing the Pacific Northwest lifestyle.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Cazenave (Bruce), son, Stephen Wood (Ronda), grandchildren, Kira Cazenave, Kristin Cazenave-Sampson (Ben), Andrew Wood (Stacy), Ryan Wood (Sarah) and seven great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service is planned for March 30, 2025, 2 pm at Church of the Good Shepherd in Vancouver.
