Karen E. Wiseman Wiseman, Karen E., age 84, of Kettering, passed away on October 15, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She was born in eastern Ohio and came to the Dayton area after her marriage to her husband. In the churches that she attended, she was always active such as a Sunday School teacher, worship commission member and communion steward. During her children’s grade school years, Karen was proud to be a full-time, stay-at-home mother and care giver to her elderly mother. The entire family feels blessed for all she did. Prior to her marriage, Karen attended Youngstown State University and worked in a community services organization and as a medical practice assistant. Helping to support her children’s higher education (all grads of The Ohio State University), Karen used her talents as a preschool teacher and later as a retail service worker. Karen leaves her husband, Robert; children, Thomas (Cheryl), Kenneth (Kathy), and Jennifer (Andrew); grandchildren, Kristen, Lindsey, Adam, Shannon, Bennett and Jacob, steps Kara and Sophia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, and long-time fond friends. The family wishes to thank the Acute Care staff at Kettering Health Main Campus Trauma and the in-home Hospice care team from Hospice of Dayton for the loving care and compassionate support we all received. Memorial contributions should go to Hospice of Dayton.
