LOVELESS, John Martin, age 73, of Bellbrook, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Sunday, September 15, 2024.

John was born April 3, 1951 to the late John and Vivian (Fiser) Loveless. A graduate of Fairmont East High School in 1969, he earned his Bachelor’s of Computer Science from Wright State University in 1975. John was a passionate professional. His most notable accomplishment was Co-Founding Culverin Corp. For nearly 20 years, Culverin employed over 60 employees specializing in software development and system design. Culverin was a pioneer in the banking industry, creating Encore for Windows™, which automated bank operations such as lending, transactions, and other customer-facing applications. They were the first company to create multi-lingual software for ATMs. Culverin also developed software programs for General Motors and Frigidaire.

John married Jennifer in 2002 and would share a love story for the ages. Together they conquered all things through love, respect and endless laughter. He was a proud step-father and role model to Cody. John was an avid golfer who loved playing in Hilton Head with his best friend, Jim Dunn. He also enjoyed family trips to central Oregon or anywhere he could spend time with his brothers, who meant the world to him. John paid for college working at Kettering Bike Shop where he assembled and sold bicycles. He became a competitive cyclist, participating in hundreds of races for Kettering Wheelman and Team IPro. His love for cycling carried over years later in his volunteer work, where he donated many hours of his time at Bicycles For All, reconstructing bicycles for underserved communities. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Eric Rudolph Loveless. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 22 years, Jennifer Loveless; step-son, Cody Torres; siblings, Geoffrey Alan (Mia) Loveless, James Edward (Melanie) Loveless; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Loveless, as well as cherished nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends Monday, September 23 from 10:00am-11:00am at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am. John will be laid to rest in David’s Cemetery. Funeral Services will be livestreamed on Routsong Funeral Home’s YouTube page for those unable to attend.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the angelic team of Bella Care Hospice and the tremendous care team at The Courtyard of Centerville. Memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association - Miami Valley Chapter, or MD Anderson Cancer Clinic.
