With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Frederick Reed of Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2025 at the age of 83. As Donald Frederick departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Donald Frederick. Though Donald Frederick may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Reed and Stephen V. Reed. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Gregson (Christopher) and Stephen F. Reed; his brothers, Stephen D. Reed and William S. Reed of Portsmouth, Ohio; his brother-in-law Bruce Carlton (Connie) of Richmond Hill, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan May; and his wife Barbara Reed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
