Paul Train beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Paul Edwin Train of Bellbrook Ohio joined his son in Heaven on July 18, 2024. Paul was born in Saratoga Springs New York on July 8, 1944. He was a graduate of Alfred University with a major in ceramic engineering. He started his career at U.S. Steel in Philadelphia and then became an Ohioan working in Toledo for Owens Illinois, Electroplasma, and SemCom. Paul was active in Royal Rangers at Bethel Assembly of God in Perrysburg, Ohio and as a volunteer chaplain for Kettering Health Network. Paul “never met a stranger.” He used his friendly personality and easily recognizable flat top to share the message of Christ’s saving grace with others. Paul was a faithful volunteer at Elizabeth’s New Life Center. He was happy to serve in any way he could to promote life which he knew is a gift from God.

Paul was happily married to his wife Shirley Fleet for almost 56 years. They have two daughters: Jodi Gebhart (Mark) of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Dr. Polly Train of Celina, Ohio. They have three grandchildren: Madison Gebhart Edinger (Nick), Jonathan Gebhart, and Jackson Gebhart. Paul is also survived by two sisters: Dixie Patton of Massachusetts, and Maxine Marquis of Maine.

Paul was predeceased by his son Eric Jon Train and his parents Frank Train and Marietta Garant Train.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00pm Monday July 29, 2024 at Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, with a funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial David’s Cemetery.
