Obituary

Brian Keith Harris, age 65, of Bellbrook Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 21, 2024. Brian was born August 31, 1959, to the late William Harris and Suzanne (Rolfe) Harris. He was also preceded in death by his sister Cindy Harris, Father-in-law Richard Watson and Brother-in-law Kenny Houk.

Brian’s life was a beautiful reflection of his unwavering commitment to family. He loved cooking outdoors, using his smoker to prepare meals that brought family and friends together. Everyone enjoyed the deep fried turkeys he made for Thanksgiving. Brian also had a passion for bourbon. He enjoyed searching and collecting hard to find bourbon. He loved sharing his knowledge of bourbon with family and friends, as they sampled his finds. Brian had a love of woodworking and was the family handyman. Everyone knew that if something was broken he was the person who could fix it. You could always count on Brian.

In 2000, Brian founded Kaskell Manufacturing. He had a passion and love for his work. He was surrounded by coworkers, who over the years became his friends. He knew the success of his company was due to his unwavering commitment and the commitment of his loyal employees.

Brian enjoyed life. He found joy in spending time with his wife as they attended Dayton Dragon baseball games, cheering on the Wright State Raider men’s basketball team, golfing and playing Wizard with their dear friends Cheryl and Mike Stone. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He cherished weekend slumber parties with the grandchildren and the trips he was fortunate to take with them. He loved his daughters and found joy in just sitting and talking with them.

Brian’s legacy is one of love—a love for his family, his friends, his coworkers and the countless moments of joy that filled his life.

Brian is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane; daughters, Kasey (Karl) Kordalis, and Kellie Weyrauch. Grandchildren, Rina, Henry, and George. Sister LuAnn Houk.

Following the funeral a dinner will be held at the Presidential Banquet Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. George’s Episcopal Church, in memory of Brian.
